A documentative blog about the creation of the kids book "Love, Always" that me and my siblings made about our mother, Aixa Perez-Prado's, immigration story.
My name is Joao-Roberto Walter Mateo Perez-Prado Doering. I am the youngest of six, part of a family that my parents like to call a joint venture. Both my mother and father are South American, each left their home countries (continents even) had two children in different countries, then met each other and had me and my sister. To say the immigration experience is an underlying theme of our family history would be an understatement. And no one knows that better than my mother. Because of this me and my siblings grew up hearing the story of when she first arrived in the United States and just how scary it was.
